The fact that these rovers were originally slated to last 90 days and have been working for 8 years gives some credit to NASA engineering.

NASA wrote:Eruption on Io
An active volcanic eruption on Jupiter's moon Io was captured in this false color image taken on February 22, 2000 by NASA's Galileo spacecraft. White and orange areas on the left side of the picture show newly erupted hot lava. The two small bright spots are sites where molten rock is exposed to the surface at the toes of lava flows. The larger orange and yellow ribbon is a cooling lava flow that is more than more than 60 kilometers (37 miles) long.

If it became readily available it would systematically implode our world both in natural and societal resources lol

Don't worry though, if Glaxo Smith Kline doesn't buy the rights and burn it it will still be inaccessible to the masses.

So would this keep us from getting wrinkly and old looking as well? It would be not so pleasant to look 300 years old.

This reminds me of a book I read long ago, about a future where there was slowed aging and no natural death. A loophole for eternal life was found however. Cloning. To avoid over use of the natural resources, every 100-200 years your DNA was stored in a bank and you were "deconstructed". The city kept you on file, and every 1000 years you were re-cloned and previous memories were implanted. You would see your friends again, depending when your cycles would overlap. That's how I remembered the book anyhow. Written by Asimov I think. Technology development and leisure was the primary focus of the civilization. The research on advanced technology could stretch eons. Your work would be left to somebody else who would continue developing it. 1000 years later you would wake up again and see how much further the progress had gotten. It was interesting.
