Brake System Maintenance

Postby professor science » Sun Sep 25, 2011 5:47 pm

Hey All,

Mid-November marks a switch to winter tires. I figured that while I have the wheels off I might want to change all pads, rotors and brake fluid.

I'm going to do it myself because it's dead easy and I'm not going to pay BMW Waterloo $800 to do it for me.

Any recommendations on pads?

Can I use someone's space to do it? My driveway is steep and the garage is small.

Any purpose wanted with the new brakes? If nothing special for the track or anything then I wouldn't worry about anything special. Just get some good quality stuff.
Oh Hi Dere... welcome to my sig!

They might have dropped it off - it was all a blur. Knew I should've been paying attention

You're welcome to schedule a night at my shop... we'll have to do some auto shuffling, but it'll work!

How long do you need to do the job?
