Litt:
F - 17 x 8 et 22 (I will find out) with bald 205-40-17 Toyo T1-S (discontinued)
R - 17 x 9.5 et 10 (I will find out) with 215-40-17 Toyo T1-S (discontinued)

Stahl:
F - 16 x 9 et ? (I ran 25 mm spacer in front) with 195-45-16 Toyo T1-R
R - 16 x 9 et ? (I ran 10 mm spacer in back) with 195-45-16 Toyo T1-R

Plan:
Yank the tires off the rear rims, get them professionally polished, seal them and put the tires back on the opposite side (tread wear)
I'll keep the front 17's and eventually put new rubber on.
Budnik's standard wheels come in 16 x 8 and 16 x 9.5 (anything in between is available with partial cut barrels - $$$)

16 x 9.5 (same width as back) with what offset? I don't mind running spacers (you can always space out but not in!). Tires size? I'm thinking 205-45-16 so strech is less than back.

 oh steve :P

wow that looks fucking cool... IDK steve 16s could def work... I'd be curious to see what some 205s do to the look. Still so much tire from wheel to the fender on that side shot... the look will work but it's gonna do weird things to the eye when the rear fenders are sitting on tire and the fronts are sitting like that... even though it's gonna actually have a bunch of actual body rake... ya know?

tristan's car looks straight out of worthersee on the budz

16s could definitely work.

i still think 18" rears would be better.

and tristan's car looks so dope. just lose the DTM tips :p

Mien = 16x9 et15. so spaced out the 25mil, et -10.

I'd say 16x9.5 et 0, and space to perfection. Like I said before, it would have been nice if there was slightly more drop in the front as to achieve the car sitting on tire stance.

15's would be dope, but fendergap is (insert catch phrase here)

Tips and exhaust will be taken care of along with the problem of too much grip in 2nd through 5th. :glee:

After seeing those pics.... the 17"s suit your car way better Steve, in my humble opinion of course.

Tristan, your car looks soooooo dope with the buds. I think if your car was slightly more minimalist, shaved lip/bumper WITH the buds... I'd be embarassed to say what I'd do to it :o

Do they make the smooth Budniks in 16" or smaller?

Siatas?

Once the BT is sorted, I will pull fenders to determine if I can go any lower in the front (I don't think I have much more room to go).

I want to see Ledjetta's MkIII on 14's with meaty tires in person to see if 15's are an option.

For the time being, I may just get new front tires. Maybe 195's instead of 205's? Thoughts?

yes on 195s and spacers.

It's my feeling that chubby stretch ala ethan on the front with regular tires on the back is gonna look whack.

I like this 15" concept.

I'd love to run super RS in 19" and tuck.

absolutely... you know my feeling on E's car.

This thread is going astray... it's not about the 15s... or 19s!

Ordering 195-40-17 rubber

Link to the excel rim offset / tire sizing utility?

I lust for Trip's wheel's poke on Gretta as shown above less 3-5 mmm. Where should I start with spacers? I expect to iterate through at least one set of spacers before I'm (Rick and Rob :) ) are happy.

Reference:

Mine - 17 x 8 et 22 (+5 mm spacer) - effective et 17
Trip - 16 x 9 et 15 (+25 mm spacer) effective et -10

why the heck do you call tristan, "Trip" you confuse the shit out of me, wsp. w/ DW around (a.k.a. tripwalking) :p

i'd have to take a look to compare where each of you are and analyse the effective offset. :p
