Hurr Durr

Like an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in chinchilla, LBM will bring you in and out of consciousness with alternating waves of outer space-like freshness and pharaonic opulence. You can think of the Paris based design firm like a renaissance man from the future, whose inspirations age timeless, yet capture and astound those in the present.

I dubbed hard right into a HUGE frost heave on 24A that felt like hitting a full size curb at 90 km/h. Slowed way down and didn't see an oil trail, kept on driving. Parked it at Hayley's work and had a look underneath because I could hear the plastic oil pan shield thing rattling and sure enough I was pissing oil :x

First pan ever. Completely unavoidable, utterly frustrating. Fingers crossed Klaus is willing to go through the hassle of getting it on to his hoist.

That's what I hit last week. Saw sparks out the rear view still glowing, during the day. :(

Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's bad. I've never seen it like this though. There's a creek under the road there and it's like the road falls down 6" over about 3'.

Yeah with the freeze/thaw over and over I'm amazed with how quickly these things have been popping up :( Had to reevaluate my route to work already

And what do they have to mark it off? A single pylon on the side of the road. :x

I've wondered if the people on the street aren't too concerned if any original pylons or markers have "disappeared"... they used to have a nice quiet street and it seems like over the last year, it's become a known "short cut" for people to see how many seconds they can shave off their commute. I really feel for them, as our street gets traffic once in a while .

Email from my mom:
DW:
This morning on my way to Breslau instead of taking Maple Grove & Fountain as I usually do I turned right on Speedsville and then left on Middle Block. I thought I'd warn you about Middle Block if you ever decide to drive it in your Passat. I'm sure you'd bottom out.
