I'm okay with the jetta and golf front end, but the rest, not so much.
Had the opportunity to stop at a dealer and sit in a new jetta. They feel MUCH cheaper now.

The grille and lower fascias look like a Ford Fusion/Edge to me. I understand that the Jetta is supposed to be more flashier and trendy while the Passat is classier and subdued... But these pics make the car look soo generic.

Yeah - its all a little too non-vw for me. I think I can see where they're going with the front end though, the next gen may have the upper & lower treatments connected with a smaller body-colored piece in the middle.

Hopefully we'll look back on this as a transition design; kinda like the B6 was a stepping stone in the design language between B5 and B7.

It's funny, until I started seeing these on the road I never got into the mk5 Jetta, but lately when I see a nicely done example I've been thinking 'you know, it wasn't that bad!'

I actually kinda like the look of the 6's.

In saying that, I hate the way they cheaped out on things but you can definitely see why, and why its going to work getting tons of people into the 15k Jetta.

Anyone know if the Passat CC is sticking around? If not, it's a shame the passat went back to looking like a XXL Jetta.
Oh Hi Dere... welcome to my sig!

EWW. Not good wheels for the car at all.

The wheels aren't the best choice, but when a car is new you can get away with that sort of thing real easily.

I'd rock that car faux show.
