For some reason I picture the boring stock 5 spoke 968 wheels looking really sharp on there post drop

Cup 1s would be classic too.

This was my very first thought on the direction of mine. To a T. Cheap and easy to accomplish.
But, since this is a Toronto car, I will have to do something different.

Edit:

Front:
18x8.5 ET52 + 7MM H&R spacer
18x10 ET65 + 21MM H&R spacer
In order to accomodate these spacers we had to press longer studs. I dont feel comfortable with those bolt on spacers, lugs over lugs.
No fender rolling but to avoid rubbing we went with 215/255 combo instead of infamous 225/265 combo...(Plus I wanted to have the stretched look)
Rubbing would be the least of my problems, the important thing to me was to clear oil lines running inside right side fender & we accomplished that by the 21mm spacer.

I swear, Rennlist has the best deals on used stuff.

http://rennlist.com/forums/parts-marketplace/828557-pss9-s-for-964-a.html

http://rennlist.com/forums/parts-marketplace/828808-very-rare-18-hart-759-3-piece-wheels.html

There's also a Member-to-Member classifieds section that is only accessible after paying the $17/year membership fee. Some even better deals on stuff in there.

Oh my.

So the 964 has threaded spring perches stock. RUF makes lowering collars to lower it more. Use with lowering springs and you have a very low car:

Neat things I learned:
993 suspension works if you get an adapter or modify the top mount from 3 stud to 4 stud
Koni adjustable shocks drop into the stock 964 housing

DW, it's basically a factory installed adjustable height coilover. Albeit with a narrow range of adjustment.
The stock collar has an adjustment of about 1.5" it looks like.
