I doubt they can do much on a "base" model jetta but just as an FYI, if they offer you cash instead of the accessories take it. OEM Accessories can be had for so much cheaper off a few contacts form the tex.

Great input/advice guys.

Yeah the Jettas have dropped in price this year over last. The 2.0 is O K... feels oddly soul-less.

Glanced over the certified pre owned financing rules and benefits. 2 yrs/40k kms warranty and 0.9% financing?

A white base rabbit (with textured rubstrips, yum) would work out to be a LOT cheaper than the Jetta.

Mileage is not a concern as Calgary is uber small. Unfortunately I can't take the transit to work. At max I would be driving 15,000 per year.

I would fit such a vehicle with a black/unfinished votex front lip, and gti sideskirts, and continue to sport those badass hubcaps.

Winter tires were being given away w/ both new and used vehicles. They are asking 14,900 for the Rabbit, but I would start at 12,900 even + free winter tires and work from there.

The line in the sand would be 13,650 with taxes in.
If it doesnt work out, that's fine will move forward with the Jetta.

Will update thread tonight.

Made the deal, discovered the car spent its whole life till about a month ago in Quebec.

Put on hoist, rusted pinch welds at points OTHER than the jacking points.

No surprise there. Meh.

I really like it with the single chamber Golf lights. Shame the turbo and oil pump are pooched.

Car will probably be a cube soon.
