I've not seen TD badging, both of mine said GL. The only diesel "badging" was the back end being two shades darker than the rest of the car after 100kms

Yeah I don't think they badged until the TDI arrived.

Multi piece mesh wheels almost look odd on MK3s.

Full face offerings look much more legit.

I don't think the NA market ever got Dragon so that should settle that... we did get Classic Green though. Looks like Suck-oh-yeah to me though.

150k is so young for a mk3 diesel. Should be a great car for you!

Naw man. Take it back Rick... TAKE IT BACK!

I'm copping non-polished faced Clubsports in anticipation of rust forming.

Stock hubcap looking wheels compliment rust real well.

Brought it back to a new level of realness.

Can someone educate me on these pictures? I know they are "Bora" hubcaps but how big?
What steelies are being used?

I always assumed 16s, and they should work with any steelie... so if they're 16s you could get Minis that would bolt on no adapters needed.

When I bought my DSM I almost bought a Suckoyeah VR6 Jetta and my plan was coils, 16" wheelcovers, smoked ecodes and a euro plate tub. So naturally I'm on board with this new twist.

Are those covers a bigger diameter than the wheels they're on? ie make the tires look lo pro?

Haha DW we did that on my buddy's EG back in the day.

15" covers over 13" steelies! Best thing about the Honda hubcaps were that the lug bolts went right through them. Made it a cinch to do this mod. Loved the look.

Was obsessed with the hubcap look on low MK3s and I guess it sort of faded out of my mind. Rick what you describe is legit! I just had no idea they had 16" Mini steelies in 4x100. Thanks for mentioning that :). And yeah a bit of Ebay searching confirms that they are 16" Bora hubcaps.

Also, while skinny D90s and Clubsports have that same awesome full face look, it's nice to be sporting OEM VW hubcaps with the VW logo on them. OEM+++++++ y0.

Prob.

Just found a couple examples of 16" x 5.5 4x100 Mini steelies. Pretty uncommon though.
