End of Season Photoshoot

Postby Maraschino Larry » Sun Oct 25, 2009 11:38 pm

Sadly, the time is upon us to raise/winter wheel our cars, or tuck away the fancy ones for a more practical method of transportation altogether. I'm the last person to welcome the season, but you can't deny it's upon us.

In light of this, I propose an end of season photoshoot to document another year gone. We hadn't really had a chance to do this yet this year, and in light of a certain Gregosh being incredibly close to having the infamous 2 camera ready, it's gotta be done.

Obviously the more the merrier... I'd love for top dog, and maybe even Graham to attend! Can such a thing be orchestrated? Let's finger it out!

Damn Rick, you beat me to the punch, I was going to compose a thread today :)

This is my vision for it: Meet early in the morning on a Saturday or Sunday depending on weather. I found a pretty cool place that's out in my neck of the woods (I know, how convenient :P ).

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=kitchener&sll=49.891235,-97.15369&sspn=44.35412,113.994141&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Kitchener,+Waterloo+Regional+Municipality,+Ontario&ll=43.405455,-80.500871&spn=0.001516,0.003479&t=h&z=19&layer=c&cbll=43.405259,-80.501278&panoid=yxyDjARetUvaBQWtuU1QbQ&cbp=12,279.63,,0,1.6

It's the place that's still under construction on the northwest side of the roundabout.

I will try to get a dealer plate for the day, if I don't get it that location would be ideal for me. It's got a euro feel to it. After the shoot we go hit up some quality breakfast at Omegas nearby. Nov 7th is the earliest I can do it and I'm away the 14th and 15th.

Okay let's plan for Nov 7th. How early? As Graham would be coming from Mississauga (and I hate waking up with the birds) we should factor that in.

What's good time for daylight for pictures Landy?

If we do it around noon we'll be restricted to parking lots and other random sites. Reason for the early morning is that all the stores are still closed!

I vote for a place that serves both breakfast, and lunch! Letkefast!

Good call Greg, so this will have to be pre 9am? I guess another option based on stores being closed would be after 7pm? Being as camera illiterate as I am do you have the equipment for decent night shots? We could make it an all day event!

It was also noted, that I may have in my possession at that point, the Wagenwerks:Worthersee09 video. 8)
