Oh I improvised one... to the tune of 2 stripped bolt heads. ... you'd really think I'd know better by now, although I was very cautious in the beginning and got 5 in a row, I clearly got cocky.

Anyways ayo Mandeep I just called Napa and dude couldn't find a listing, however Part Source has them individually and as part of a set, so I'll make a trip up there before the weekend.

What??? Dubbin Hard Sundays was resumed today after a bit of a hiatus. Both Dave and I got that terrible tar pad sound deadening crap off of the top of the rain tray shelf. Dave also accomplished some other stuff while having both a cut off wheel and a wire cup explode in his face! Exciting!! I also got to drive the S4 in its current state so I could experience trying to drive it while the engine and transmission are trying to escape from their home... fun :)

Yes - death defying, but progress was achieved!

I had a look at that flyer again; performance improvements has rad
overflow tanks that might work. They're polished stainless, and they have 2" diameter, 13"
tall and cheapish!

Those dimensions could easily tuck up nicely under the rad support :)

Why would yours need a rad overflow?

In spite of the weather forecast it ended up being a beautiful day so I worked on the mkII while Dave held it down in the garage. Unfortunately Mandeep couldn't stay as his coveralls got dropped in a pan of used oil :(

I rerouted the vac line underneath the coil packs, deleted the power steering reservoir and alarm siren. Bay looks much better now!
Image

I also completely dismantled and rebuilt the hatch release/latch as it wouldn't open for me. This lead (as things often do) to removing the rear wiper/motor/squirter. Then I removed the front wipers and rear emblems and painted them flat black (along with the carbon fauxber trim ring for my steering wheel Randy found last weekend).

Dave brought an exciting addition to the tools collection in form of a welder! Happy day!

Welder would've been more fun if I'd remembered the mask (doh!).

I also tricked out my wiper linkage I'll post up pics when it gets back from the chromer :p
