Welcome back summer...

Call it "The grey thing" with a subtitle "the not so daily daily" for now... I will come up with a better name later, or someone make a suggestion.

Awesome. Are the Mosquitos bad there? They're brutal over here. I just read catnip works well. Will it be on the road this summer?

Yep Mosquitos seem to be mutants this year hence the off candle burning just outside the garage. :). They actually work pretty good!

Tranny is ready to be pulled, just need to get a second hand to pull it out as I blocked my engine hoist in the garage and don't have an easy way of supporting the engine and Tranny at the same time. Oops.

Hopefully Tuesday I can see the damage to the clutch. Will update with carnage pics.

Surgery resumed last night.

Pulled the tranny, took apart the clutch/PP/etc and started to try and find out where the vibration was coming from.

PP looks fine...

Clutch looks good, no springs loose...

Clutch is almost done but no signs of uneven wear...

Hmm... what could it be?

Look close.

Some close up shots.

No signs of scorching on the PP or flywheel, burned through a whole clutch in a season, but cracked/bent the clutch fork. Never heard of that happening before.

Question is, does that make me a good driver or a bad driver.

Whoah, so close to failure. I'm surprised at how large those cracks could become without it failing completely!

Woah bad clutch fork... reminds me of my DSM days.

You going through a clutch in a season doesn't surprise me, and that's not insinuating that you don't know how to drive stick

There were literally 100's of launches on that clutch + the daily abuse. It lived a good life. :D
