Oh my goodness. Removing front springs is hard work.
4 hours work.
0 results.
I have used two types of spring compressors, neither worked.
I fabricated my own spring compressor.. it worked better than the others, still no dice.
The problem is the spring rate. It's CRAZY ASS HARDCORE. The air impact could not compress it using any of the 3 spring compressors.
Holy crap.

After a little searching on the internets, I found me some answers. Turns out the oldtimer MB crowd knows about this all too well.

After being angry, gassy and motivated, the front driver's side spring has finally been removed.
This took an air chisel and me flailing a cut off wheel with total disregard for safety.
No Rick, my camera is not broken. But I would have broken it if it was anywhere near me during the hack and slash procedure.
The bracket is measured. 3 5/8". Not that it means anything to you. Except that it is guaranteed to be lower than stock.

Tomorrow day: cut&weld @TKmodular

Tomorrow eve: cut other front spring off (will be VERY quick now that I know what's going on)
