Hayley wants an Alltrak BAD. I prefer the new gen Allroad but the fact it doesn't come with the 3.0T really ruins the car for me.

I just mean how does that person keep driving directly at the car the picture is taken from. I mean it doesn't look like the picture taking car is moving much, but the gold Kia just keeps on a comin'.

I lost the key to my locking wheel lugs.

Google tells me there's somewhere between 9-16 different keys for these locks, also most people's experience that their local VW dealer has removed their locks and put brand new standard lugs in for no charge.

I head over to Mississauga VW at lunch and ask if I could use their locks to remove my locking lugs, I have my tools and extra lugs with me and it will just take 5 minutes. "We can't allow that". Okay, here's where they offer to do it for me I guess. "We will do it for $55".

By my calculations, that's an hourly rate of $660.

No surprise there, probably justified behind a thin veil of 'liability concerns'.

I've heard of people lucking out by using these before:

Yup, that's the first thing I searched for.
No longer sold in Canadian retail stores as far as I can find :(

I could also go to VW Waterloo. I was in Oliver's wedding party, that probably counts for something. Plus I know Justin in the Service Dept. Getting there during service hours while I work in Mississauga is another story.

Yeah really.

Booked an appointment for timing belt service and thermostat. Engine temp is dipping a tad when it's -15 out and the heat isn't as good as last year.

So…

I was driving home from school and what do I see coming the other way? A navy blue Lamborghini Diablo.

I've never seen a Diablo driving. (I don't even know if I have seen one in real life)
I've never seen a picture of a blue Diablo. (It was gorgeous)

Did it have a big SV on the side?

I've seen a Diablo once in person... after driving that car in many a video game seeing it in person is heart-stopping.

Heck owning a Diablo and a Testarossa at the same time? I would be hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh on that feeling.

I've seen plenty of newer Lamborghinis, but have only seen a Diablo maybe once or twice. MUCH more of a statement than a new one.

Any time you buy gasoline at a station that is above 87 octane, they simply meter in an additive to raise it to the desired octane.

We are getting ready to sell this to chains now.

Image

This 100ml will raise 87 octane to 94 octane in my 75 liter tank in the 964.

Interesting... Do they do that in the mixture that's in the ground, or at the pump? I mean, does a station buy 87 & 89 & 91 etc. and have a different tank in the ground for each (that's what I've always thought)

If they're adding octane to 87, wouldn't it be smarter for a station to buy all 87 then add the octane at the pump?

Depends on how the gas station is set up.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/gas-pump4.htm

The blending up to 89,91, 94 or whatever octane can either be from a second tank of higher octane gas or just a small tank of octane additive like what I have here.

It would be rad to see, instead of the octane selection paddles, a variable knob that you can turn to the exact octane you want.
