Sketchy Braking Situation

Postby gregosh » Mon Feb 19, 2007 2:07 pm

Hello Gents,

Lately, especially when there's tons of ice, my car has been a handful under rapid braking (I mean common, we're talking about 2.0L of pure power, getting that beast to stop is a handful for any braking system) my back end usually slides out.

I'm having one side of the brakes brake harder than the other, what should I do? What can be causing this problem? Bad proportioning valve? Should I flush my system?

Thoughts? comments?

I remember back in the day everyone said to adjust the proportioning valve when you lowered/stiffened suspension as it changed weight transfer characteristics from stock. however, i don't know if that still applies.
Upgrade your grey matter 'cause one day it may matter.

Don't be in such a hurry to condemn a person because they don't do what you do, or think as you think. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today...
